About the Role
This is a 1.0 FTE position located at Oakridge Elementary School within Arlington Public Schools. The role focuses on implementing instructional programs that meet the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of students using appropriate materials. The position requires maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment, communicating effectively with parents and guardians, and keeping complete and accurate student records.
The successful candidate will collaborate with school administrators, fellow teachers, instructional assistants, and community members to support student success. This includes monitoring and assessing student achievement while attending ongoing professional learning and meetings to stay current with best instructional practices and technology integration.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess or be eligible for Virginia licensure with a Special Education endorsement. While a dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred, it is not required.
