Mt. San Jacinto Community College District welcomes applications on an ongoing basis for Associate Faculty positions. We invite candidates to join the Associate Instructor (Anatomy & Physiology) pool. This role is part of the University Professional and Technical Employees (UPT) CWA Local 9119 AFL-CIO Union.
As an Associate Instructor, you will provide instruction through lecture and/or laboratory classes in accordance with established district-approved curriculum and course outlines. Your mission is to effectively teach and communicate with students of diverse backgrounds, advising them on academic and career matters to promote their success.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and evaluating curriculum, as well as defining course-specific and program-level student learning outcomes. The role emphasizes the scholarship of teaching and learning, requiring you to maintain currency in the field of biological sciences. You will work in an indoor classroom environment that may include lab settings, utilizing classroom equipment and communicating verbally to exchange information with students and colleagues.

This is a pool position, meaning interviews occur as specific teaching needs develop rather than for a single immediate opening.

Education: Master's degree in any biological science OR Bachelor's in biological science plus Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science; Bachelor's degree in any biological science (required only if combined with a Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science).
