Lynn Public Schools seeks a passionate Spanish Dual Language Pre-Kindergarten teacher to join the Compañeros Spanish-English One-Way Dual Language Program. This role is dedicated to developing bilingualism and biliteracy, building socio-cultural competence, and transforming educational outcomes for all students.
In this 90%-10% model, students spend 90% of their day learning all content areas—including Spanish language arts, math, social studies, and science—in Spanish. Teachers utilize all four language domains (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) while integrating cultural traditions, customs, and history from the Spanish-speaking world in developmentally appropriate ways.

As a Pre-K teacher, you will create a positive, language-rich, asset-based, and multicultural learning environment conducive to the success of all students. You will teach literacy, Spanish language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science using district curriculum maps and reflecting a deep understanding of state curriculum frameworks.
Your day involves thoughtfully planning lessons with a grade-level partner to implement specific strategies that meet the needs of all students while fostering cultural understanding, social growth, and language acquisition. You will administer language and literacy assessments, analyze student data to inform planning, and develop targeted instruction. As a vested member of the dual language team, you will collaborate on issues related to dual language philosophy, programs, and approaches, participating actively in building-based and department staff meetings.
An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including a drug test, National fingerprint-based Criminal Background Check (NCBC), and Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). All requirements must be completed prior to the start of employment.
