For more than 80 years, Dollar General has been dedicated to delivering value to shoppers by helping them save time and money every day. We offer frequently used and replenished products—including food, snacks, health and beauty aids, cleaning supplies, basic apparel, housewares, and seasonal items—at everyday low prices in convenient neighborhood locations.
This position serves as a vital link in our daily operations, functioning as a Cashier and/or Stocker while acting in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. The role is designed to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork while protecting company assets.
In this fast-paced environment, you will be the face of the store, greeting customers as they enter and providing superior customer service leadership. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of responsibilities: unloading trucks, receiving and unpacking merchandise, and maintaining plan-o-grams to ensure shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing. You will also manage the front end, operating cash registers and scanners to process transactions efficiently.
Beyond daily tasks, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and secure working and shopping environment. This includes cleaning store floors and restrooms, managing waste, and ensuring the front end is organized. When the store is open or closed, you will follow specific directions to open and close the facility, ensuring all security protocols and cash control procedures are strictly adhered to.
