This position serves as a vital operational anchor within the store, bridging the gap between inventory management, pharmacy compliance, and exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for executing and training the team on best practices for inventory, ensuring on-shelf availability, and maintaining the accuracy of front-end and pharmacy assets. In designated locations, you will also step into leadership roles to open and close the store, manage cash handling, and oversee daily operations in the absence of store management.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of technical and interpersonal tasks. You will coordinate the receipt of deliveries, verify pharmacy shipments under the supervision of the pharmacist-in-charge, and manage complex inventory processes including pricing, markdowns, and returns. Beyond the back room, you are the face of the store for many customers, greeting them, resolving issues, and modeling service traits that create a distinctive and delightful experience. You will also act as a liaison between management and the team, coaching others on inventory systems and communicating operational updates.
To apply, please ensure you meet the experience requirements, including one year of prior retail work experience (or six months with Walgreens for internal candidates). Candidates must be fluent in English and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Internal candidates must have an "Achieving expectations" rating on their last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months.
Walgreens is committed to fostering a culture of continuous development. As part of this role, you will attend company-based trainings and complete e-learning modules, including safety requirements. We value respect and collaboration, expecting all team members to maintain positive relationships with coworkers and adhere to company policies.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider qualified applicants regardless of background, including arrest and conviction records. We are dedicated to diversity and inclusion, welcoming individuals with disabilities and veterans to our workforce.
