As a key member of the Walgreens team, you will serve as the operational backbone for both the front end and pharmacy departments. This role is designed to ensure the highest standards of inventory accuracy, asset protection, and customer service. You will champion On-Shelf Availability, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of products from receiving and counting to pricing and returns. Whether you are coordinating complex pharmacy shipments or guiding the team through daily inventory counts, your work directly impacts the store's efficiency and the customer's ability to find what they need.
In designated stores, you will also step into a leadership capacity as the Leader on Duty, responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and resolving customer issues to deliver a distinctive and delightful experience. You will act as a liaison between management and the team, coaching others on inventory systems and fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
Your day will be a dynamic mix of hands-on inventory management and team collaboration. You will be the first point of contact for vendor deliveries, ensuring every box is scanned and verified while the vendor is still present. You will work closely with the Pharmacist-in-Charge to verify pharmacy shipments, manage recalls, and handle hazardous waste disposal according to strict policies.
Beyond the stockroom, you will be on the sales floor ensuring shelves are fully stocked, merchandised, and priced correctly. You will support the Pickup Program, manage package deliveries, and assist the team in preparing for physical inventory audits. When acting as the Leader on Duty, your focus shifts to customer engagement, resolving complaints, and overseeing point-of-sale transactions to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
