As a key member of the Walgreens team, you will serve as the operational backbone for both the front end and pharmacy departments. This role is designed to ensure the highest standards of inventory accuracy, asset protection, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for executing best practices that keep shelves stocked, pricing accurate, and the store ready for business every day.
In this position, you will act as a liaison between management and the team, coaching others on inventory systems and operational procedures. Whether you are coordinating complex pharmacy shipments, managing vendor returns, or resolving customer issues as the leader on duty, your work directly impacts the customer experience and the store's efficiency. You will champion On-Shelf Availability, ensuring that products are present, priced correctly, and ready for our shoppers.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of hands-on inventory management and team leadership. You will scan deliveries, verify pharmacy shipments under the supervision of the pharmacist-in-charge, and manage the end-to-end process for On-Shelf Availability, including disposals and vendor returns. You will maintain accurate counts for both front-end and pharmacy stock, ensuring compliance with state laws regarding regulated products like tobacco and alcohol.
Beyond inventory, you will model exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, offering proactive assistance, and resolving issues to create a delightful experience. In designated stores, you may also open and close the store, manage cash handling, and register sales on the POS system. You will support the team in preparing for physical inventories and maintaining a clean, well-merchandised sales floor.
We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Internal candidates should have at least six months of prior work experience with Walgreens, while external candidates should have one year of prior retail experience. A valid pharmacy license or certification is required where applicable by state law.
To apply, please ensure you have a flexible schedule available for evening and weekend hours. We value continuous development, so you will be expected to complete all required e-learning modules and safety training.
