This role is designed to ensure the seamless flow of inventory, maintain strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and deliver a distinctive customer experience. You will be responsible for executing best practices that keep shelves stocked, pricing accurate, and assets protected, directly impacting the store's ability to serve 20 million shoppers.
In this position, you will act as a liaison between management and the team, coaching others on inventory systems and operational procedures. Whether you are coordinating complex pharmacy shipments, managing vendor returns, or leading the store during peak hours, your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential. You will also play a vital role in maintaining the store's reputation by modeling customer service traits, from proactive assistance to resolving issues with care and courtesy.
Your day will be a dynamic mix of hands-on inventory management and customer engagement. You will start by ensuring the store is ready for business, managing system startups, and verifying that the floor and stockroom are organized. Throughout the shift, you will oversee the receiving of deliveries, ensuring accurate scanning and immediate action on any discrepancies. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to pharmacy operations, working under the supervision of the pharmacist-in-charge to verify shipments, manage recalls, and handle hazardous waste protocols.
You will also be the guardian of On-Shelf Availability (OSA), executing end-to-end processes for planogrammed departments and managing disposals or returns before expiration. When serving as the leader on duty, you will take full accountability for store operations, including cash handling, POS transactions, and resolving customer complaints. Beyond the tasks, you will actively coach team members on package delivery activities and inventory accuracy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
