As a key member of the Walgreens team, you will serve as the guardian of inventory integrity and a champion for the customer experience. This role is designed to ensure that our stores operate smoothly by managing the complex flow of goods from the warehouse to the shelf, with a specialized focus on both the front end and pharmacy departments. You will be the bridge between operational precision and customer satisfaction, ensuring that every product is available, priced correctly, and ready for the shopper.
In this position, you will not only execute daily inventory tasks but also coach team members on best practices. Whether you are coordinating the receipt of vendor deliveries, managing pharmacy shipments under the supervision of a pharmacist, or resolving customer issues as the leader on duty, your work directly impacts the reliability of our service. You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of on-hand balances, ensuring compliance with state regulations for regulated products, and keeping the store environment clean and well-merchandised.
Your day begins with ensuring the store is ready for business, including system start-ups and floor preparation. You will spend significant time scanning deliveries, verifying shipments, and managing the intricate process of inventory counts and planogram validation. A major part of your focus will be On-Shelf Availability (OSA), ensuring that products are physically present and correctly displayed.
You will act as a liaison between management and the team, communicating tasks and providing guidance on inventory systems. When serving as the leader on duty, you will take accountability for the store's operations, including cash handling, POS transactions, and resolving customer concerns to deliver a distinctive and delightful experience. You will also play a vital role in asset protection by filing claims for shortages, overages, and damaged goods, ensuring the store remains compliant with all company policies and safety standards.
We value internal growth and external talent equally. Internal candidates are encouraged to apply if they have six months of prior work experience with Walgreens, while external candidates should have at least one year of retail experience. We look for individuals who demonstrate a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and possess a strong attention to detail.
Walgreens is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider qualified applicants regardless of background, including those with arrest and conviction records. We believe in continuous development, providing opportunities for team members to attend company-based trainings and complete e-learning modules to enhance their skills and career growth.
