Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. We bring that vision to life through our values and culture, believing in team members having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career.
As an On-Demand Team Member (Guest Advocate), you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. Unlike traditional roles, you are not included on a posted weekly schedule; instead, you create your own by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.\n While you have control over your schedule, reliability and prompt attendance are critical. You are expected to actively engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every four weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts regarding shift availability or do not work at least one shift within five months, your employment may be administratively terminated. Your ability to work when the business demands it most is essential to your success.
No two days are ever the same, but as a Guest Advocate, you will be an advocate of the guest experience. You will welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. You will be empowered to make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up locations.
You will blend problem-solving and decision-making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve concerns. Whether you are scanning items, managing returns, or directing guests to digital services, you will ensure exceptional quality. You will also promote and engage around various benefits, offerings, and services, helping guests understand the Target App, Wallet, and loyalty programs.
Should you be offered a position as an On-Demand Team Member, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you are properly prepared for your new role. After orientation, you will use the myTime mobile app to pick up the shifts you desire to work.
Applications for this role are accepted on an ongoing basis with no application deadline.

In compliance with state and federal laws, Target will make reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
