About the On-Demand Role
As an On-Demand Team Member, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule is personalized: you are not included on a posted weekly schedule but instead create your own by picking up shifts via the myTime mobile app that work best with your life. This role is ideal for those seeking a flexible work arrangement that adapts to their availability.\n While you have control over your schedule, reliability is critical. You must actively engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every four weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts regarding shift availability or do not work at least one shift within five months, your employment may be terminated. Your ability to work when the business demands it most is essential to your success.
Your Day-to-Day
No two days are ever the same, but as a Guest Advocate, you will be an advocate for the guest experience. You will welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. You will empower guests to make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, and pickup locations.
A typical day involves blending problem-solving and decision-making to positively impact the guest experience. You will communicate effectively with guests to build an inclusive experience, adapt to different situations, and promote various benefits and offerings. You will be knowledgeable about in-store and digital services, helping guests navigate the Target App, Wallet, and fulfillment services like Order Pickup and Drive Up. You will also maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and ensure safety and compliance in all tasks.
Hiring Process
Should you be offered a position, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you are properly prepared. After orientation, you will use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up the shifts you desire to work.
