About In Our Own Voices (IOOV)

In Our Own Voices, Inc. (IOOV) is a Black-led, LGBTQ+ people-of-color–centered organization committed to building power, protection, and possibility for our communities. Through advocacy, direct services, and culturally grounded programming, we create spaces rooted in healing, dignity, and collective care. Our mission is to enhance the health, wellness, and overall quality of life for LGBTQ+ individuals through advocacy, support services, and community-building activities, fostering a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment.

About the Role

The Front Desk Experience Coordinator is the heartbeat of IOOV’s daily operations and community connection. This role goes beyond traditional reception work; it is about shaping the first impression, holding space with intention, and ensuring every person who enters or calls IOOV feels seen, respected, and supported. You serve as the bridge between the community and our services, helping to move people from inquiry to impact while keeping the office running with clarity, care, and efficiency.

At IOOV, the front desk is not just a position. It is a place of trust, access, and connection. You help set the tone for how our community experiences care, dignity, and belonging every single day. Whether supporting the food pantry, managing event logistics, or maintaining our databases, your work ensures that our mission-driven environment remains welcoming and affirming for all.

Equal Opportunity & Culture

In Our Own Voices, Inc. (IOOV) is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to equity, dignity, and belonging. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, HIV status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

We strongly encourage applications from LGBTQ+ people of color, transgender and gender expansive individuals, people living with HIV, and those from communities most impacted by systemic inequities.
