About the Role
Triad Service Center is seeking a Field Technician to support the maintenance and repair of light industrial equipment across the Baltimore, MD area. This mobile role focuses on keeping essential commercial machinery operational for large retail and industrial locations. Technicians will service a diverse range of equipment, including floor scrubbers, sweepers, handicapped carts, checkout lanes, paint shakers, and grease containment units used with deep fryers.
As a Field Service Mechanic, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers on-site. Your day involves diagnosing malfunctions through visual inspection, testing, and listening to machines, followed by dismantling parts to identify wear or misalignment. You will install new or repaired components, perform preventative maintenance (PM), and ensure all machinery is clean and lubricated. The role requires strong organizational skills to schedule repairs efficiently by location while maintaining accurate records of work orders, parts, and daily agendas.
This position is designed for a self-starter who takes ownership of company assets, including the provided vehicle, tools, and technology. You will travel up to 300 miles daily, often working Monday through Friday with an average of 40 hours. While weekends and after-hours work are possible for emergency calls (subject to customer rates), the on-call status typically ends at 11 AM EST on weekends and holidays.
