We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will work on heavy-duty vehicles, performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure operational excellence. You will interact with customers and drivers to diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computers and shop management systems to identify root causes and execute repairs. This position offers a unique opportunity to build your skills through paid training and participate in top tech competitions.
Your schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday during the second shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm). You will be responsible for routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake work, and tire services, as well as replacing defective components and performing facility maintenance duties. You will work in accordance with all federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines, including safety, DOT, and MOT standards.
To join the Ryder family, candidates must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A within six months of hire. The selection process includes passing a Ryder drug test, a DOT physical, a Ryder road test, and a background and motor vehicle check covering the last three years. Some positions may require additional screening, such as employment and education verification or specific customer badging requirements.
