The Director of Student Services serves as a pivotal member of the district's leadership team, dedicated to directing comprehensive student services programs and acting as a primary resource for the community. This role exists to ensure the delivery of high-quality services in athletics, safety, student activities, and health compliance, all while adhering to established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
In this position, you will lead the district's crisis management efforts, including the Emergency Operating Procedures, threat management (CSTAG), and suicide/self-harm prevention processes. You will also serve as the Title IX Coordinator, Investigator, and Decision Maker, working closely with Human Resources to uphold safety and equity standards. Beyond crisis response, the role involves fostering a healthy school environment through the organization of immunization clinics, the development of prevention and intervention programs, and the oversight of student discipline and investigation processes.
As a liaison between school administration, parents, and law enforcement, you will evaluate programs and provide strategic direction to achieve district objectives. The role requires frequent interaction with site administrators and staff, including annual reviews of student and coach handbooks, and collaboration on the district calendar. You will supervise the District Nurse Health Advisor and manage relationships with School Resource Officers, ensuring a cohesive approach to student well-being and safety.
