About the Role
Department Supervisors serve as the backbone of our store operations, leading, training, and coaching associates to ensure every customer receives excellent service and can easily find the merchandise they need. This role is designed to bridge the gap between daily floor operations and strategic store management.
Beyond direct team leadership, Department Supervisors provide valuable input into operational and merchandising decisions, collaborating closely with the Store Management Team and Operations Team to drive efficiency and growth. Success in this position requires strong product knowledge and a deep understanding of store operations across a wide range of departments.
Depending on the specific store structure, supervisors may lead single departments such as Building Materials, Decor, Electrical, Flooring, Gardening, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, Pro Account Sales, Tool Rental, Front End, Freight, Receiving, Associate Support, Special Services, and Merchandising Execution, or manage a combination of multiple departments.
