As a Retail Team Member at G&M, you will be the face of our brand, dedicated to providing exceptional customer service that aligns with our corporate standards. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team. Your primary mission is to create a friendly, safe, and clean atmosphere for both our customers and fellow employees.
You will serve as a vital link in our daily operations, managing point-of-sale transactions with precision, handling cash and payments accurately, and ensuring compliance with all local and federal regulations. Whether you are preparing fresh coffee, managing the condiment bar, or stocking shelves, your attention to detail helps maintain the high quality of our store. You will also play an active role in sales promotions, building customer relationships through suggestive selling, and contributing to a positive team culture.
This position offers the opportunity to work across various functions, including cashiering, food preparation, and store maintenance. You may find yourself supporting the morning rush by ensuring fresh coffee is ready, managing the night shift with deep cleaning duties, or acting as a backup barista. The role requires adaptability, as you will be expected to work all shifts and potentially move between locations within the district to meet operational needs.
Candidates selected for an interview will be evaluated on their computer competency, specifically regarding the PDI Enterprise POS system. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to learn tasks quickly with minimal supervision, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
