About the Role
Join the Retail team at G&M as a dedicated team member committed to delivering exceptional customer service. This position is vital to maintaining a friendly, safe, and clean environment for both our customers and employees. You will work closely with the Store Manager and your team to uphold corporate standards while ensuring a seamless experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Day in the Life
Your day will be dynamic, blending customer interaction with operational excellence. You will operate the POS system and fuel console with precision, handling cash, credit cards, and various payment types accurately. Whether you are managing sales transactions, redeeming coupons, or selling regulated items like alcohol and tobacco, you will ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to quality.
Beyond the register, you will play a key role in store operations. This includes preparing fresh hot food items, brewing coffee, and maintaining the condiment bar to ensure the store is ready for the morning rush. You will also be responsible for keeping the store spotless—from sweeping floors and spot mopping to deep cleaning restrooms and sanitizing equipment. As a team player, you will actively participate in sales promotions, practice suggestive selling, and assist with stocking shelves and receiving vendor deliveries.
Hiring Process
Candidates selected for an interview will be evaluated on their computer skills, specifically their competency with the PDI Enterprise POS system. The process includes a practical evaluation to ensure readiness for the role's technical demands.
