About the Role
As a Beauty and Wellness Consultant, you will maximize sales and brand awareness by providing exceptional, personalized customer care. This role is designed for individuals who demonstrate a genuine passion for beauty and wellness, offering inspirational knowledge and expertise regardless of a customer's brand preference or budget. You will serve as a trusted advisor, providing solutions for beauty and wellness needs that include mini-makeovers and skincare consultations, with a focus on the customer's total look.
Your day-to-day involves modeling and delivering a distinctive, delightful customer experience. You will engage customers by greeting them, listening to their needs, and offering assistance with products and services. Whether utilizing tools like the Skin Hydrometer for consultations or leading in-store events to promote brand loyalty, you will ensure every interaction builds a lasting relationship. You will also oversee and maintain overall beauty department standards, ensuring a clean, organized, and hygienic environment that reflects the quality of the Walgreens brand.

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma/GED
- verified1 year retail sales experience with sales goals OR 1 year beauty/cosmetic sales experience
- verifiedBasic PC/tablet skills
- verifiedFluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- verifiedLicensure in Cosmetology or Esthetician (preferred)
- verifiedDegree from Beauty School (preferred)
Nice to Have
Licensure in Cosmetology or as an Esthetician as granted by appropriate state licensing authority. Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community, and with vendors. Experience demonstrating makeup application and providing makeovers to customers. Experience selling Prestige brands. Degree from Beauty School. Experience with another retailer in the form of an Externship.
