Lap of Love is seeking a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services for companion animals. In this unique mobile role, you will guide families through quality-of-life discussions, perform gentle and peaceful euthanasias, and ensure pets experience dignity and comfort in their final moments.
You will work independently in the field while collaborating closely with a supportive, empathetic veterinary team. This position is designed for skilled communicators who are confident in small animal medicine and deeply committed to compassionate, end-of-life care. Your work will involve conducting comprehensive quality-of-life consultations, administering medications, and maintaining detailed medical records while adhering to Lap of Love clinical protocols.
At Lap of Love, our mission is to provide the highest quality of end-of-life care for pets in the comfort of their own homes. We believe that every pet deserves a peaceful passing and that families deserve support during their most difficult times. By bringing veterinary expertise directly to the home, we help create a serene environment that honors the bond between pets and their owners.
Interested candidates are invited to submit their application with a cover letter highlighting their experience in hospice, palliative care, or end-of-life services. The selection process includes a review of credentials, a phone screening to discuss clinical experience and philosophy of care, and a final interview with the regional team.
Lap of Love is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and the families we serve. We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
