Lap of Love is dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for companion animals in the comfort of their own homes. Our mission is to support families through the most difficult moments of their pet's life, ensuring that every animal passes with dignity and peace. We believe that the home environment offers the most serene setting for saying goodbye, allowing families to be together without the stress of a clinical setting.
As a Mobile Veterinarian, you will be the compassionate face of our mission, traveling to families to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services. This role is unique in its focus on emotional support as much as clinical excellence. You will guide families through difficult end-of-life decisions, offering a gentle presence during examinations and administering care with the utmost empathy.
Your day will involve navigating diverse routes to reach clients, performing thorough assessments, and managing pain and comfort for animals in their final days. Beyond medical protocols, you will serve as a counselor, helping families navigate their grief and ensuring that the final moments are peaceful and dignified. You will collaborate with a supportive team that values high clinical standards and deep compassion, participating in case discussions and ongoing training to refine your skills in palliative care.
Candidates interested in joining our mission are encouraged to apply with their resume and cover letter. The selection process typically includes an initial screening to discuss experience and fit, followed by a detailed interview focusing on clinical expertise and compassionate communication. Successful candidates will undergo a background check and verification of all necessary licenses and certifications before onboarding.
Lap of Love is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
