You will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. By assisting the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, you will help drive the department's success while upholding all established quality assurance standards.

You will be the face of the department, ensuring every customer feels welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products and offering helpful suggestions.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of customer interaction and operational support. You will gain and maintain deep knowledge of the products sold within the department, allowing you to respond to inquiries and engage customers effectively. A significant portion of your time will be spent labeling, stocking, and inventorying merchandise, ensuring displays are fully stocked and conditioned according to department standards.
You will stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads to promote sales through intercom announcements and creative merchandising. Operational duties include observing scheduled shift hours, completing necessary paperwork according to company policy, and reporting any product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Safety and compliance are paramount. You will adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil codes, model excellent customer service, and reinforce safety programs by identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management. You will also practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting any items needing repair, while remaining vigilant against illegal activities such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
