This position is dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The primary goal is to establish and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that encourages customers to return. You will play a key role in assisting the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals while strictly monitoring all established quality assurance standards.
We are committed to demonstrating our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety in every interaction. Whether you are answering customer questions, managing inventory, or ensuring safety compliance, you are expected to model these principles daily.
Your day will involve creating an atmosphere where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. You will serve as a knowledgeable resource, answering questions about products sold within the department and throughout the store, and making helpful suggestions to shoppers. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to maintaining the department's presentation: labeling, stocking, and inventorying merchandise, as well as keeping displays fully stocked and conditioned according to department standards.
You will stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads to promote sales through intercom announcements and by utilizing bulletins and special programs. Operational duties include observing scheduled shift hours, completing all necessary paperwork according to company policy, and ensuring compliance with all merchandising, customer service, cash control, labor control, expense, supply control, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, and engagement rules.
Safety is a top priority. You will reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management. This includes practicing preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment, reporting any items needing repair, and immediately notifying management of any customer or employee accidents, safety risks, or illegal activities such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position. Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction) are required. While a high school diploma or equivalent and bilingual capabilities are desired, the focus is on your ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
