About the Role
Mortenson's ACE Externship is more than a summer job; it is a comprehensive experience designed to provide valuable real-world insights into the construction industry. Located in our Phoenix office, this eight-week rotation offers a unique opportunity to experience life both on and off the construction project site. You will engage in field experiences across various exciting projects while also exploring office-based disciplines such as Virtual Design & Construction, Safety, Estimating, Project Accounting, and Lean.
Throughout the program, you will work closely with an on-site mentor and shadow professionals in several different roles and functions. This immersive environment allows you to build relationships and network with industry experts, giving you a new appreciation for how innovative and exciting a career in construction can be.
Hiring Process
Eligible candidates must be current ACE program participants considering a career in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture. The externship begins in mid-June and requires a commitment of 30-40 hours per week. Selected externs will be paired with mentors to guide their learning journey through the eight-week rotation.
