Our company is dedicated to providing reliable transportation for passengers traveling to their medical appointments. As a Wheelchair Van Driver, you will be the face of our service, ensuring every journey is completed in a timely and safe manner. This role is more than just driving; it requires strong communication and customer service skills to interact with passengers in a friendly and helpful way, representing our brand with care.
Your day will involve picking up passengers from set locations and driving them to their destinations. A significant part of your duties includes assisting passengers, which requires physically moving wheelchairs weighing up to 300 lbs, as well as bending, lifting, squatting, and kneeling. You will also be responsible for keeping the van clean inside and out, performing daily minor vehicle maintenance, tracking fuel usage, and completing required daily documentation. Depending on business needs, shifts may be split.
We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. To apply, you must have access to a computer to complete the interview process and be prepared to provide a list of references that can be contacted. Please note that this is a drug-free workplace, and you must be able to perform all job duties with a clear mind.
Starting hourly pay is $15. After six months, depending on work performance, there is a possibility of a pay increase. We value a clean driving record and a history of working with nursing homes or special needs education programs, though these are beneficial rather than mandatory.
