Wastewater Collection System Technical Supervisor

About the Role

The Wastewater Collection Technical Supervisor serves as a critical leader within the Wastewater Collection Department, overseeing the integrity and operational efficiency of the city's sewer infrastructure. This role is dedicated to preventing system failures by managing complex inspection protocols, including inflow and infiltration investigations, closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveys, and smoke testing. The supervisor ensures that the collection system remains compliant with environmental regulations while coordinating the daily activities of field crews.

In this position, you will bridge the gap between field operations and engineering standards. Your day-to-day involves directing the deployment of specialized camera trucks, validating service connections, and troubleshooting technical issues with inspection equipment. You will work closely with the Section Manager to plan site investigations, manage traffic control requirements, and communicate with contractors and customers. The role demands a hands-on approach, requiring you to supervise the installation of monitoring equipment, operate heavy machinery such as vacuum/jet rodder trucks, and perform emergency response duties when necessary.

Requirements
