Warehouse Operations at Cardinal Health is responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of receipt from vendors to the final shipment to internal and external customers. This team performs and controls a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, and delivery. The function ensures that prescribed service parameters are met while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
In this position, you will apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks within clearly defined standard operating procedures. You will follow established processes to fulfill orders, which includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing items, and preparing them for shipment. The role requires a willingness to learn and be certified to drive various material handling equipment, such as order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie rides.
You will work under a moderate degree of supervision, working on routine assignments that may require some problem resolution. As part of the team, you will cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed. The role expects you to maintain appropriate licenses and certifications, adhere to all quality guidelines, and refer complex or unusual problems to your supervisor. This position is ideal for someone who readily learns and applies new information and methods to their work.
