About the Role

We are seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join our Baton Rouge, LA team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of all company-owned fleet vehicles and equipment. You will ensure that health and safety remain the top priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes while acting safely at all times.

Your day-to-day will involve performing routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, as well as conducting preventative maintenance tasks and inspections. You will assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues, move company equipment safely within the yard, and ensure all equipment is properly parked and secured in compliance with facility permits and DOT requirements. Additionally, you will maintain facility standards through housekeeping duties and complete required daily checklists.
