About the Role
This position is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the Food and Beverage & Culinary operations at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa. You will be the backbone of our kitchen and service areas, ensuring that every dish, tool, and surface meets our quality expectations. Your day will involve operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, from dish washing machines to trash compactors, while meticulously washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tables, and utensils.
You will play a vital role in the flow of our operations by receiving deliveries, storing perishables properly, and rotating stock. From sorting and washing silverware to breaking down cardboard boxes for recycling, your attention to detail ensures a seamless environment for our guests and team members. Beyond the physical tasks, you will be a key part of our safety culture, reporting maintenance needs and unsafe conditions while adhering to all company policies.

- check_circleSort, soak, and wash silverware and break down dirty bus tubs
- check_circleEmpty and maintain trashcans and dumpster areas
- check_circleClean and mop all areas in assigned departments
- check_circleDispose of glass in proper containers and recycle cardboard boxes
- check_circleMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- check_circleReport maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to managers
- check_circleUse detergent and sanitizing chemicals to clean dishes in 3-compartment sinks
- check_circleInspect, pull, and stack cleaned items while sending soiled items for re-washing
