About the Role
This position is located at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Lahaina, Hawaii. As a key member of our Food and Beverage & Culinary team, you will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and service areas. Your day will involve operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, including dish washing machines and pot-scrubbing stations, while managing the flow of clean and soiled wares.
You will be responsible for washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tools, and equipment, as well as receiving deliveries and rotating stock to ensure freshness. The role requires active participation in maintaining a safe and efficient environment, from sorting and washing silverware to properly disposing of glass and recycling materials. By supporting the team to reach common goals and adhering to quality expectations, you help create the welcoming atmosphere that defines the Sheraton experience.

- check_circleDispose of glass in proper containers and recycle cardboard boxes
- check_circleMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- check_circleClean dishes using detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in 3-compartment sinks
- check_circleReport maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to managers
