About the Role
As a Food and Beverage & Culinary team member at Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott Maui, you will help keep the promise of "Wonderful Hospitality. Always." by delivering thoughtful, heartfelt, forward-thinking service that upholds and builds upon this living legacy. You will operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dish washing machines, hand wash stations, and trash compactors, ensuring kitchen and store room areas are sanitized. Your role involves receiving deliveries, storing perishables properly, and rotating stock to maintain quality standards.
You will be the guardian of our culinary environment, using detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals to clean dishes, inspecting and stacking clean wares, and managing the re-washing of soiled items. From sorting and washing silverware to breaking down dirty bus tubs and maintaining trash and recycling areas, your efforts ensure that our operations run smoothly and safely. You will move, lift, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods while reaching overhead and below the knees. By following all company safety and security policies and reporting maintenance needs or unsafe conditions, you help protect company assets and support the team in reaching common goals.
