About the Role
This opportunity places a Board Certified Urologist at a Level II Trauma facility in South Carolina for inpatient coverage. The role is designed to provide critical care during the holiday season, specifically covering the period from December 24th through January 4th.
As a key member of the urology team, you will manage a diverse caseload within a high-acuity environment. Your day-to-day will involve handling standard urologic procedures such as stone care, stent and catheter management, cystoscopies, and pediatric torsions. You will also perform incidental appendectomies, adrenal surgeries, hernia repairs, and hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomies.
Given the facility's status as a Level II Trauma center, a significant portion of your shift will be dedicated to open trauma cases. This includes managing complex injuries involving the kidneys, testicles, and bladder repair resulting from stab wounds and gunshot wounds. You will be on a 24-hour call schedule to ensure immediate response to these emergencies.

Delta Locum Tenens will assist with all travel arrangements and credentialing requirements for this assignment. The firm also covers malpractice insurance for the duration of the engagement. To proceed, candidates must hold a valid Medical License and DEA registration in South Carolina, alongside Board Certification in Urology. The facility utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system.
