NURSE's Etc. Staffing is seeking a dedicated Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Des Moines, Iowa, beginning June 15, 2026. This role is designed for experienced professionals ready to support a high-volume surgical environment with a focus on precision and patient safety.
In this position, you will serve as a vital member of the surgical team, managing complex cases ranging from general surgery and pediatric procedures to trauma and robotics-assisted operations (Da Vinci). The schedule features 12-hour day shifts, typically working three days a week (Monday, Friday, and a rotating Saturday/Sunday), with hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The team also participates in a holiday rotation.
Success in this role requires a strong background in both circulating and scrubbing within a hospital or medical center setting. You will be expected to navigate EPIC electronic medical systems and thrive in a Level I and Level II Trauma center environment. This assignment is specifically tailored for seasoned travelers; candidates must have completed a previous travel assignment within the last 15 months.

Ensure your Nursys profile reflects an active Iowa or multistate compact license, and that your BLS certification (AHA or ARC) is current. A professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or director within the last 24 months is highly preferred. Please note that this is a travel position requiring a valid driver's license.
