The Clinical Pharmacist - Pharmacy Supervisor leads the Case Management Specialty Pharmacy at Sentara Norfolk General. This role provides formal leadership to pharmacy team members, ensuring the provision of safe, compliant, effective, and prompt pharmacy services. The supervisor assumes accountability for daily pharmacy operations, workflow coordination, quality and service, human resource management, strategic planning, and medication management both locally and within the system.
As a resource for staff and a representative of pharmacy leadership within the division, this role implements and supports local and system initiatives. The position involves participating in all necessary aspects of the medication-use system while providing comprehensive and individualized pharmaceutical care to patients. The supervisor leads the development and maintenance of clinical and operational pharmacy processes, models practice consistent with organizational goals, and supports the training of new employees.
