About the Role
Located at Clara Maass Medical Center within the Surgical Unit-I, the Unit Clerk plays a vital role in the daily operations of the nursing station. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, this position assists in the planning, organizing, and implementing of activities by performing essential clerical and receptionist duties while maintaining the physical environment of the area.
The role is designed for individuals committed to the "4C's" of Commitment, Compassion, Competence, and Communication. You will serve as a critical link between medical staff and patients, ensuring accuracy in chart management, alerting nursing staff to new orders and test results, and facilitating the flow of specimens, medications, and requisitions. Success in this position requires a thorough working knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology and a proven track record of providing superior service and compassionate care.
