This position serves as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist within a small, collaborative department at SEARHC. The role is dedicated to performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams, including OB/GYN, abdominal, pelvic, endovaginal, small parts (breast, thyroid, scrotum), and vascular studies such as DVT, arterial legs, and carotids. Echocardiography experience is a plus.
Beyond clinical duties, the Ultrasound Technologist plays a vital role in patient care by receiving patients, explaining procedures, and selecting appropriate equipment. The position also encompasses essential office functions, such as answering phones, scheduling exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, ordering supplies, and coordinating the mailing of exams to various facilities. The team collaborates closely with SEARHC staff to foster a positive working environment and ensure compliance with Joint Commission regulations regarding documentation, quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and high-level disinfection.
