As a Truck Driver at XPO, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, to transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Your day-to-day involves providing excellent service to customers, which includes generating sales leads, as well as loading and unloading freight. You will work in all types of weather, operating the vehicle for up to 11 consecutive hours while ensuring the safety of yourself and your cargo.
This role requires physical stamina and versatility. You will frequently lift objects up to 50 lbs. (occasionally exceeding 75 lbs.) and maneuver a converter dolly with significant force. The position involves sitting for extended periods in the cab or on a forklift, climbing in and out of the tractor, and standing or walking on various surfaces, including uneven or slippery ground in inclement weather.
