About the Role
This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Speech Language Pathologist at Gainesville Hospital in Gainesville, FL. The position is based on the Rehab Unit (PT #76662) located on the 2nd floor of the Main Hospital. You will join a team of 22 staff members, including PTs, OTs, SLPs, and Techs, to support a 30-bed unit with a patient ratio of 7:1.
The unit is currently in a new hospital and unit startup phase (5/5 rating), offering a dynamic environment where you can help shape the department's early operations. Your day will involve conducting patient evaluations, assisting with ADLs and transfers, providing family and patient education, and leading gait training and functional therapy sessions. You will utilize typical IPR gym equipment, including balance and gait systems, and document all care using the Meditech (Expanse) system.
The schedule consists of day shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) for 40 hours per week. The role includes a weekend rotation for call requirements. Staff are expected to wear light gray scrubs.
