About the Position
Cynet Health is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our team in Cleveland, OH. This 13-week contract role is designed for a professional who thrives in high-stakes surgical environments and is committed to delivering optimal patient outcomes.
As a Cardiac RNFA I, you will work directly under the direction of attending physicians to support complex cardiac surgical cases. Your primary focus will be second-assisting within the operating room, where you will provide critical aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions. Beyond the OR, you will manage preoperative and postoperative duties to ensure a seamless perioperative experience for surgical patients.
This role requires covering regional call to support cardiac surgery initiatives. You will apply the nursing process across all facets of the nurse first assistant role, utilizing your knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to maintain a safe peri-operative environment. Success in this position demands a high degree of hand-eye coordination and sustained mental attention to detail.
Shift and Schedule
This position operates on a Days shift schedule, working 5 days a week for 8 hours per shift (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM). The contract duration is 13 weeks with a start date available ASAP.
Requirements for Onboarding

- BLS certification
- Pharmacology training
- Skills Checklist completion
- Specialty Exam
