The team is distinguished by unmatched regional robotic surgery capabilities, offering robotic cardiac and thoracic services at a national level. The program performs the full gamut of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, including CABG, valve surgery, aortic aneurysms, pulmonary resections, and decortications.

SSM Health-Dean Medical Group is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to join an established team at the hospital. This role offers the opportunity to work independently alongside cardiothoracic surgeons in a high-volume, technologically advanced environment.
The position involves a dynamic mix of operating room duties and inpatient care. You will assist in both endoscopic and open vein and radial artery harvesting procedures. Beyond the OR, you will provide patient care on the Cardiothoracic Surgery in-patient unit. The role includes night call responsibilities for both floor patients and the OR, with a schedule anticipated at one in six for each. Weekend duties typically involve rounds followed by call from home for the OR. While the primary focus is surgical support, the role also includes rare outpatient clinic care.
