Corewell Health's Women's Health Service Line is expanding its Core Faculty team at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. As the flagship hospital for Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals, Butterworth has been a regional leader in full-service care since 1873. It serves as a major tertiary and quaternary referral center for West Michigan, housing the only Regional Burn Center and Level I Trauma Center in the area. The hospital is a clinical leader in obstetrics and gynecology, working alongside the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital and the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center.
Corewell Health is a not-for-profit health system where people are at the heart of everything. With over 65,000 dedicated team members, including more than 12,000 physicians, the organization is reimagining a better, more equitable model of health and wellness through experience and collaboration.
We are seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN hospitalist physician to join our collaborative, physician-led team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to maintain GYN skills while providing high-volume inpatient care. You will work alongside a midwife, core faculty physician, a robust Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) team, and nocturnist physicians in one of the highest volume labor and delivery units in the country.
The role is designed to support the academic OB service, cover uncovered OB and GYN patients, provide MFM coverage, and offer night coverage for a community-based clinic and outpatient residency practice. A key component of this position is primary teaching; you will supervise residents and medical students as part of an active teaching environment. The team fosters a culture of supportive, team-based care, ensuring evidence-based practices and minimal inbox burden or after-hours charting.
We are accepting applications from Board Certified OB/GYN physicians who have a strong interest in resident and medical education. Qualified candidates will be invited to discuss their experience and teaching philosophy as we evaluate fit for our academic and clinical mission.
Corewell Health is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We value the unique perspectives and experiences of all candidates and strive to create a workplace where everyone can thrive.
