About the Position
Cynet Health is seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team in Charleston, WV. This 13-week contract role focuses exclusively on pediatric patients, ranging from newborns to 17 years old, within a specialized 30-bed Operating Room unit.
The successful candidate will serve as a vital member of the surgical team, managing both scrub and circulate duties for pediatric cases. This role is designed for nurses with a strong background in pediatric and women's specialty care who are eager to apply their skills in a focused, high-acuity environment. The unit does not float to other facilities, allowing for deep specialization in pediatric surgical procedures.
Day in the Life
You will work primarily on day shifts, with a schedule typically structured as 5 days of 8 hours or 4 days of 10 hours. The role includes significant call requirements, averaging 6 to 8 shifts per month, with weekend coverage necessary. While self-scheduling is offered, it may include some weeknights and weekends. Candidates will be expected to comply with all health and safety regulations, including mandatory flu vaccination (with documented medical exemptions accepted), while COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of Operating Room RN experience and travel experience. A thorough work history, including specialty skills and references, is required during the application process. Additional training for pediatric-specific procedures may be provided during employment. Final selection will involve a discussion regarding call requirements and schedule specifics.
