About the Position
Pond is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to join our growing Energy team. This role supports the Power Services program, delivering projects for clients across the United States. You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in transmission and substation design while working in one of our offices: Atlanta, GA; Peachtree Corners, GA; Tampa, FL; The Woodlands, TX; or Denver, CO.
We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about growth and collaboration. In this position, you will work independently to manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices while coordinating with internal project managers and disciplines to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleGenerate framing drawings, load and dimension drawings, and bills of materials
- check_circlePerform electrical calculations for transmission line system design and studies
- check_circleCreate drawings and specifications for transmission line construction
- check_circlePrepare engineering deliverables including contract documents and studies
- check_circleManage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements
- check_circleCoordinate with internal project managers and disciplines to ensure project success
- check_circleAssist with equipment specifications, bid evaluations, and procurement
- check_circleDesign transmission line projects using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, FAD Tools, and PLS CADD
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor of Science (BS) in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- verifiedProfessional Engineering License (PE) or on the path to obtain PE
- verified5+ years of experience in transmission line design
