Safety is more than a priority—it's the foundation of our mission at American Flagging. Our certified professionals adhere to the highest safety standards, protecting both our workers and the communities we serve. By minimizing risks and disruptions, we create secure environments for all road users and worksite personnel. With safety at the heart of every project, we ensure peace of mind and consistent quality for our clients.
As a Traffic Control Apprentice, you will be our front line for safety. This role is designed to maintain the flow of traffic around construction zones, maintenance projects, accidents, or other temporary traffic disruption areas. You will ensure the safety of workers, motorists, and pedestrians by maintaining proper traffic control and following all safety guidelines and regulations.
You will work in an outdoor environment in and around construction zones, often exposed to traffic, loud noises, and construction equipment. The position requires travel to different work sites and the ability to work in all weather conditions. Whether you are setting up temporary traffic control work zones, communicating clearly with drivers, or monitoring activity to anticipate hazards, your focus and reliability are essential to keeping our sites secure.
We are looking for team players who are willing to learn and follow safety procedures. No prior experience is required, though traffic control experience is preferred. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, and be willing to submit to a drug screen. We provide Traffic Control/Flagger Certification to successful candidates.
