Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInstall, maintain, and remove traffic control devices according to DOT standards
- check_circleConduct flagging operations to control vehicle movement through construction zones
- check_circleAssist in the setup and breakdown of lane closures, detours, and traffic patterns
- check_circleRead and interpret traffic control plans, project drawings, and routing instructions
- check_circleInform motorists of detour routes and work zone guidance using signals or radios
- check_circleMaintain traffic control equipment in clean and organized condition on company trucks
- check_circleDrive company vehicles to and from job sites as required
- check_circleEnsure safety for workers and motorists by monitoring traffic conditions
Requirements
- verified1-2 years of experience in traffic control
- verifiedValid driver's license with clean driving record
- verifiedFlagger certification (ATSSA or equivalent) preferred
- verifiedKnowledge of basic safety regulations, work zone safety practices, and traffic control procedures
Nice to Have
Prior experience in traffic control, construction, or utility work. Familiarity with DOT specifications and MUTCD guidelines. Flagger certification (ATSSA or equivalent). Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
