We are looking for a dedicated TIG Welder to join our growing team at our Chittenango facility. This role is ideal for candidates who want to be part of a company poised for substantial growth with opportunities for advancement. You will perform Gas Tungsten Arc welding (GTAW) on investment castings, focusing on rework, repair, and cosmetic upgrades in strict accordance with customer specifications and internal procedures.
In this position, you will evaluate castings to ensure proper preparation, assess conditions to determine the appropriate weld technique, and utilize die and belt grinders for additional preparation. You will also operate and maintain welding equipment while documenting weld locations and dimensions. A key part of your day involves identifying and implementing improvement opportunities using lean tools such as Systematic Problem Solving, Process Management, and Value Stream Mapping.
