We are looking for a dedicated TIG Welder to join our growing team at our Chittenango facility. This role is ideal for candidates who want to be part of a company poised for substantial growth with opportunities for advancement. As a key member of our team, you will perform Gas Tungsten Arc welding (GTAW) on investment castings, focusing on rework, repair, and cosmetic upgrades in strict accordance with customer specifications and internal procedures.
You will be responsible for evaluating castings to ensure proper preparation, assessing conditions to determine the best weld technique, and performing additional preparation using die and belt grinders. Beyond technical execution, you will document weld locations and dimensions, operate and maintain welding equipment, and identify improvement opportunities using lean tools such as Systematic Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping. Success in this role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, engineers, and leadership.
Candidates offered employment are required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background study prior to starting. We look for individuals who are ready to commit to our 2nd shift schedule (Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) and are prepared to work overtime as needed.
