About the Role
You will join a portfolio of brands with Marriott International at The Resort at Kapalua Bay in Maui. In this position, you serve as a vital link between our guests and the culinary team, ensuring that room service experiences are seamless and personalized. Your day involves taking room service orders over the phone, answering detailed questions on menu selections, and acting as a knowledgeable resource regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines. You will coordinate closely with kitchen staff to communicate special requests, allergies, and dietary needs, while also managing the logistics of service delivery and notifying guests and management of any delays.
Beyond order management, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of work areas, recording transactions in the MICROS system, and processing all payment methods. This role requires you to welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs with genuine appreciation. You will uphold the highest standards of professional appearance and confidentiality while supporting the team to reach common goals in a fast-paced luxury environment.
