FedEx Freight is seeking a dedicated Fleet Maintenance Technician to ensure the timely, quality, and cost-effective operation of our vehicle fleet. This role is critical to keeping our tractors, trailers, forklifts, and specialized equipment running safely and efficiently. You will serve as the frontline expert for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for our logistics operations.
In this position, you will perform routine maintenance and basic diagnostics to identify and resolve equipment issues. Your day-to-day involves collaborating with other technicians to execute complex repairs, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation of all work performed electronically and in writing. You will also handle paint and body work as required, utilizing precision measurement instruments and heavy-duty lifting equipment to maintain our fleet's integrity.
This role takes place in a dynamic environment that may include exposure to heavy traffic areas, dust, diesel fumes, and noise. You may be required to drive a service van to off-site locations and work in varying climate conditions. The position involves handling chemicals, oils, greases, and paints, and requires the ability to frequently lift components weighing approximately 110 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance.

High School Diploma (or GED). One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL. Familiarity with precision measurement instruments, oxygen/acetylene equipment, and lifting devices. Paint and body work experience.
