About the Role
FedEx Freight is seeking a skilled Technician to ensure the timely, quality, and cost-effective maintenance of our vehicle fleet. This role is critical to keeping our operations moving, covering a wide range of equipment including tractors, trailers, forklifts, and specialized machinery.
In this position, you will perform preventative and routine maintenance, conduct basic diagnostics to identify and resolve issues, and execute necessary adjustments to ensure safe and efficient operation. You will collaborate closely with other technicians to handle complex repairs and modifications. A key part of your day involves ensuring accurate documentation of all maintenance activities through written and electronic reports, as well as performing safety inspections. Depending on operational needs, you may also be required to perform paint and body work on vehicles.
The role requires a hands-on approach in a dynamic environment. You will work in areas exposed to heavy traffic, dust, diesel fumes, and noise, and may need to drive service vans to off-site locations. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to frequently lift components weighing approximately 110 pounds, and the flexibility to work varying hours based on operational demands.

Requirements
